IE 399<\/h1>\n

Internship with mentorship is accepted only for IE399, not for IE299. There will be a different dynamic list of available alternatives mentioning the related faculty member in https:\/\/courses.ie.bilkent.edu.tr\/ie299\/faculty-projects-2\/<\/a>. The students should reach out to the appropriate faculty member to bid\/get the project. The student and the mentoring faculty will determine the timeline of the project. After deciding on and arranging with a mentor , the process is as follows:<\/p>\n

  1. You need to communicate with the mentor to apply to the project<\/strong>. If you get approved, you need to send the final approval mail of your mentor to bkara@bilkent.edu.tr with subject \u2018\u2018IE399 faculty mentored approval\u2019.<\/li>\n
  2. You will choose the department instead of company in https:\/\/stars.bilkent.edu.tr\/sts\/<\/a> \u00a0<\/a>and your applications with Dean\u2019s office will start.\n

    1. Choose Bilkent University IE Department as company.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Select the start and end date of your project and generate a form.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. E-mail the form you generated to https:\/\/stars.bilkent.edu.tr\/sts\/<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    4. The official acceptance letter from the company is to be replaced with the Department approval and departments will send these automatically to Dean\u2019s office.<\/li>\n
    5. Note that you do not need an insurance for project based internship and hence the two-weeks requirement for insurance is no longer needed but you need to complete these steps 3 days before your project starts<\/span>.<\/li>\n
    6. For project based internships, report format and content depends on the necessities of the project and hence, will be determined by the mentor.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
