This course is a project based synthesis of the techniques and methodologies of operations research and industrial engineering covered in other courses. The projects are concerned with the design of complex systems and may involve modeling and analysis of manufacturing and service systems based on demand, resource, capacity, location, computer integration, and information requirements. In addition, this course aims to improve communication, organizational, and team skills of the students, and emphasizes the role of life-long learning in professional development and technical collaboration.
In this course you will be evaluated based on your performance as a team and as individuals. In order to successfully complete this course, you should perform satisfactorily in each assignment. In addition, attendance in all class meetings and in the consultation meetings carried out with your academic advisor and coordinator is required in this course.
